Mark E. Wilke is Director of the Airman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) at Eglin Air Force Base. He is the senior strategic consultant to installation leadership on personal and family readiness issues.
Mark supervises a staff of 22 civilian and military employees who support mission readiness by assisting Eglin’s 10,000 active-duty service members and their families with adapting to the challenges and demands of expeditionary operations and the military lifestyle. The A&FRC staff provides assistance to 4,500 DoD civilians, 1,500 guardsmen/reservists, and more than 32,000 retirees in the Eglin community.
Mark grew up in Greenfield, Wisconsin and entered the Air Force in 1983. He retired from active duty in 2003 and became a defense contractor in the Air Force research laboratory at Eglin AFB.
In 2009, he entered into Air Force civil service. His background is in social work, force development, organizational development, leadership, and telecommunications.
