Kim is the owner and President of Alliance Association Management Company in Destin, Florida. He entered the Air Force through the Indiana University Reserve Officer Training Corps in 1970.

He has an MA degree from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri and has had a variety of assignments as well as command positions at the wing, group, and squadron levels. Kim served as Commander of the 16th Support Group, 16th Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field and as Vice Commander of the 96th Air Base Wing at Eglin AFB.

He was the recipient of the Air Training Command’s Lance P. Sijan Leadership Award and the Senior Services Military Manager Award. In 1983, was inducted as an Honorary Chief Master Sergeant.

Kim is actively involved in service to his local community. In 2013, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Economic Development Council of Okaloosa County’s Defense Support Initiative committee. He also serves on the boards of the Air Force Armament Museum Foundation, the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee, the Freedom Classic Golf Tournament for Enlisted Airmen, and Grace Rides, a charitable organization for handicapped children.
