Proper nutrition and physical activity are important for a healthy body and a healthy mind. And, exercising our brains is just as important as exercising our bodies.
It’s not surprising that Hawthorn House includes a number of fitness activities such as walking or seated tai chi for residents, but they also offer many games and puzzles for healthy brains. An added benefit to these activities is doing them with a group of friends since socializing is also healthy for our brains.
Learning something new is always fun. An art project or new dance routines with upbeat music are all part of the healthy activities available every month for residents of Hawthorn House.
