Thank you for providing necessities for residents such as transportation

As residents age, the decision to give up driving can be a difficult one since many folks identify driving with independence. Safety is usually the deciding factor.

The Air Force Enlisted Village is happy to make transportation available for residents. Our resident services staff members drive residents to and from their medical and dental appointments.

Our regular bus service is available with a weekly schedule to take residents to the commissary and BX, to do their banking, to the post office and other favorite shopping locations. Resident service staff members are there to assist with getting on and off the bus, and they carry residents’ groceries to their apartments.

Another wonderful service of the transportation program is pharmacy pick up at the Eglin AFB pharmacy. This service gives residents peace of mind about how they will get their medications.

Transportation service is also used for a monthly activity to take residents on an evening outing once a month. The activity committee votes on restaurants to visit each month. The transportation is a key program in the lives of our residents.
