Norm chairs the Strategic Planning Committee for the Air Force Enlisted Village’s Board of Directors. He is responsible for developing, coordinating, and providing long-range plans to achieve our vision and mission.
A 31-year veteran of the United States Air Force, Norm retired as the Vice Commander, Air Force Special Operations Command. Norm commanded at multiple levels, to include a squadron, group, wing, combined/joint special operations air component, and a theater special operations command. He also commanded joint special operations task forces during Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is a command pilot with over 4,000 flying hours in special operations and mobility aircraft.
Norm graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs, and earned master’s degrees from Troy State University, the United States Naval War College, and Air University’s School of Advanced Airpower Studies.
Norm is the owner of Azimuth Strategies Team, LLC, a consulting service in Pensacola, FL. His passion is helping veteran serving organizations resolve the unmet needs of military members, veterans, and their families. He serves as Chairman of the Board, Air Commando Association, and on the Board of Advisors for Shield of Faith Missions and The Warriors Journey.
