Located in Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Florida, just three miles from Eglin Air Force Base, we are a 55+ retirement community for retired enlisted military members and their surviving spouses. As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit community, we are invested completely in providing a rich, rewarding and active retirement lifestyle for our residents.
Our Bob Hope Village Independent Living neighborhood is comprised of six apartment villages, each with creature comforts, a clubhouse and a vibrant social life. Our friendly team works hard to provide a full calendar of social activities, ranging from fitness and arts classes to game nights, happy hours and day trips, to make your retirement one for the ages.
Plus, residents enjoy peace of mind knowing they will be taken care of should their health needs ever change. Hawthorn House—our Assisted Living neighborhood with memory care support—provides top-tier health services and supportive care, while giving you or your loved one plenty of opportunities for social enrichment to make every day enjoyable.
Because we serve retired Air Force families and their surviving spouses, our close proximity to Eglin Air Force Base means you have fast access to the base’s commissaries, exchanges, health care and recreation.
Since our founding more than 50 years ago, we have proudly served those who served, with a special focus on Air Force widows.
