Wellness is central to all of our campus activities, which is why we launched our HOPE program in 2018. HOPE—Health Optimization Program for Everyone—provides a full calendar of health, wellness and fitness activities for residents, as well as a series of challenges and prizes to keep everyone motivated.
Based in our Kellogg Fitness Center, the HOPE program makes use of our campus wellness amenities: our state-of-the-art cardio and weight training equipment; our fitness classroom with on-demand cardio, strength training, yoga and dance classes available on a large monitor; and our heated swimming pools with water aerobics classes all year long.
But wellness is about more than physical fitness. The dimensions of wellness include social, spiritual and intellectual well-being for successful aging. To promote all of the dimensions of wellness, our HOPE program incorporates a wide range of classes to promote the benefits of laughter, exercise, healthy eating, good posture and core strength.
The program’s calendar can include 100 classes and activities ranging from hula dancing, blood pressure checks, and caregiver support. These activities are vital for all of our well-being. A long, active and happy life: that is our HOPE!
