Day shifts and Night Shifts Available- 12 hours

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL), including ambulation, transferring, bathing, dressing and undressing, eating, grooming, and toileting.

Provide laundry and linen services: wash, dry, fold, and return residents’ personal laundry.

Assist with meal service, provide supervision during dining, and ensure a hazard-free environment.

Complete Medication Management and Medication Administration training and fulfill all certification requirements within four (4) months of hire. Once certified, assist residents with safe and accurate self-administration of medications.

As a Resident Services Companion at AFEV, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. This position involves providing compassionate care and support to ensure the comfort and well-being or our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance and companionship to residents, fostering a warm and supportive environment.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders, housekeeping, laundry, etc.
• Assist client in completing necessary paperwork, letter writing, phone calls, etc. Accompany client on walks, and community trips.
• Coordinate and/or provide transportation services for residents to specified locations outside of the standard AFEV ranges.
• Engage in meaningful activities which promote mental alertness including reading aloud, playing games, and providing conversation and companionship.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in resident living areas as needed.
• Document and keep a record of services provided and/or performed.
• In the absence of companion service needs, the employee will assume duties related to Transportation, Service Coordination, and Activities.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of independent senior living and assisted living resident rights.
• Compassionate caregiver with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assist residents as required.
