AFEV Announces Postponement of Events

April 20, 2020

In adherence with social distancing guidelines due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Air Force Enlisted Village announces the postponement of the Bob Hope Village 6 Ribbon Cutting Ceremony scheduled for May 15, 2020, and the 2020 Bob Hope Memorial Charity Golf Classic scheduled for May 15-16, 2020 at the Eglin Golf Course. The golf course is currently closed.

“We are working closely with the Eglin Golf Course to determine the best date for our event,” AFEV President and CEO Brooke McLean said.

Now in its 17th year, the Bob Hope Memorial Charity Golf Classic is a major local fundraising event that raises over $50K a year to support the AFEV mission of providing a home for surviving spouses of retired enlisted U.S. Air Force personnel at Bob Hope Village (independent living senior community) and at Hawthorn House (assisted living and memory care). For questions regarding the golf classic, please contact our tournament director at golf@afev.us.

A new date will be announced for both events once government officials make decisions regarding public events.
