Air Force Enlisted Village Recognized by Air Force Sergeants Association

The Air Force Enlisted Village (AFEV) was recognized by the Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA) with the 2018 Americanism Award. AFSA’s Americanism Award is presented annually to deserving individuals or organizations for the development of programs, ceremonies or other initiatives that further patriotism in America.

The award was announced at AFSA’s 2019 International Convention and Professional Airmen’s Conference during the President’s Dinner on August 26, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. AFSA International President Michael R. Carton presented the award to AFEV President and CEO Brooke McLean.

“All of us at the Air Force Enlisted Village, Bob Hope Village, and Hawthorn House are humbled by this recognition,” AFEV President and CEO Brooke McLean said. “The Air Force Enlisted Village and the Air Force Sergeants Association has had a longtime partnership, and we are honored to be to be working together to support our Air Force family—active duty and retired.”

Past recipients of AFSA’s Americanism Award include CMSAF #5 Robert D. Gaylor, CMSAF #6 James M. McCoy, The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, and Honor Flight Network.
