Hawthorn House Residents Welcome a Very Special and Unique Guest

November 17, 2017

Thank you for giving residents interesting and entertaining activities

Activities at Hawthorn House are what you’d typically find at assisted living communities—bingo, crafts, games. But every now and then, the Hawthorn House activities coordinators like to add something a little different onto the activities calendar. Enter Fluffy the Alligator and his handler from Fudpucker’s, a restaurant in Destin.

We’re not sure who enjoyed the visit more, Fluffy from Fudpucker’s or Hawthorn House residents.

Fluffy’s handler presented an educational program that held the interest of about two dozen residents and then everyone got to pet Fluffy, shake hands with Fluffy, or just get a closeup look at Fluffy.

Residents enjoyed the unique experience that offered a once in a life time opportunity for many of them.
